june-july: 23-25 июля пройдет Vienna snooker open (про-ам). Будут Ли (!) , Роб, Грин, Ханевер, Айнсле, Люка... Дом - само собой. Причем это даже собираются показывать , в отличие от... не буду показывать пальцем.

rusel: 6 Red Draw Three of the top 16 players in the World are also attending including Mark Williams, Mark Selby and Ryan Day along with several other big name players such as Jamie Cope, Judd Trump, Peter Ebdon, Joe Perry, Ricky Walden and Barry Hawkins. This event is a separate venture from the inaugural 6 Red World Championships that was held last December in Ireland and the current 6 Red World Champion Mark Davis also appears in this event as does Ken Doherty who was one of the organizers of the original event, which will also go ahead as planned this season. A number of top amateurs from Asia were also hand picked by Thailand and other countries to compete in this event alongside the selected professionals in eight groups of six players. Coverage will be shown on terrestrial TV in Thailand on Truesport 3 and some satellite channels. Unlike the Irish based event that stuck by the traditional rules of snooker, the organizers here are looking at introducing new rules that depart drastically from the rules of snooker. These include having to hit a cushion with at least one ball unless a ball is potted. This rule along with the ball in hand rule after a miss aims to speed up the game and make it more like pool. The Whirlwind rolled back the years as he edged past Hatfield’s Burden 6-1 in the best of 11 frames to progress into the quarter-finals. In the competition, held at the five-star Montien Riverside hotel in Bangkok, the Times Territory player had knocked out two-times world champion Mark Williams 6-4 in the last 32 round after qualifying from the group stages.
rusel: BTV International: Hendry Says A Long Goodbye Stephen Hendry exited the BTV International Snooker Challenge at the group stage after losing 5-2 to China's Jin Long. Jin made a top break of 103 in sending seven-times World Champion Hendry out of the tournament in Beijing. Ryan Day edged out Liang Wenbo 5-4 in a high-quality match, Day making a 114 and Liang runs of 140 and 108. Marco Fu made two breaks of 136 but still lost 5-4 to Tian Pengfei, while Mark Allen saw off Ali Carter 5-3 with a top run of 137.

The world no.6 missed the yellow on a maximum yesterday and today failed on the 14th black. But Maguire, who two years ago became the first player to make a 147 in a ranking event in China, went on to beat Marco Fu 5-2 to reach the semi-finals.
